1.) Unless you deleted it, all installed software for everything that was preinstalled is in the eSupport directory tree and you can just reinstall it from there.
2.) If you ever created the recovery disks for the system (it's like 5 DVDs worth on my laptop), its recovery software can replace it.
3.) If you deleted the eSupport directory and you never created the recovery disks, you can hunt it down pretty easily at Asus and just redownload it.
Never buy ASUS again. I have been trying to find a solution for 6 months now, and LifeFrame3 does not work at all. It always gives me a message that another program is being used. Well, I never gave a second chance to any manufacturer. True I lost 1,500 dollars by purchasing this Asus tablet, but I WILL NEVER buy this brand again. This is a premonition and it is similar to GATEWAY years ago.... look what happened to that company and its CEO! My advice eat your loss and never buy this brand again.
I second that emotion. Asus had a great reputation but it simply fails to deliver now.
It's not just the LifeFrame, so I can't use the webcam to make pictures.
It is that Asus turns itself off at unexpected moments. Kernel-Power crashes, I read in the System Log, it always goes like this:
File System Filter 'npsvctrig' (6.3, 2013-08-22T11:38:22.000000000Z) has successfully loaded and registered with Filter Manager.
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
For deleting the pictures taken by LifeFrame, at first open the program & it shows pics in the right side, give a right click on it & select "Delete item"
When I try to make a video the screen just goes black! I had to install a new hard drive a few weeks ago. So when I tried to open lifeframe it wouldn't open. I installed it on my laptop and now it opens and I can take pictures but I am unable to create videos which was the whole point of buying this! Can someone help me?
Lifeframe3 worked some weeks ago, but now, whenever I try to initialize anything (video or camera or gallery) it crashes. First it searches for a solution, then it tells me I'll be informed when a solution is available and then shuts down.
Please help!
I purchased VirtualLab Data Recoveryon after my computer crashed and started smoking. This HP desktop computer was less than one year old. I did not think of backing up my pictures, tax files, and important data (I know better now). Well the system formatted the hard drive by itself and started working again. Needless to say, all of my family pictures vacations, daughters’ prom, pageant etc.. was gone. Hp wanted me to send in my computer for service but, I knew that if I send them the computer with the hard drive they might not return it or re-format the drive with all of my important information on it. So I pleaded and negotiated with them to let me remove my hard drive and then send in my computer for service. Well I couldn't be happier when most of my pictures were recovered. Most services charge you $500.00 plus to recover your files. This was the best and most rewarding $ 39.95 I spent in a long time. Thank you for your great software.
